Paul schreibt jeden Abend in sein Tagebuch. Paul writes in his diary every evening. Heute ist es eine ziemlich lustige Geschichte. Today it's a rather funny story. Am Morgen wollte er mit dem Fahrrad zur Arbeit fahren. In the morning he wanted to cycle to work. Aber er hatte Pech, denn sein Fahrrad war kaputt. But he was out of luck, because his bike was broken. Stattdessen ist er mit dem Bus gefahren. Instead he went by bus. Im Bus hat er fast seine Tasche vergessen. He almost forgot his bag on the bus.
Im Büro hat eine alte Maschine ein lautes Geräusch gemacht. At the office an old machine made a loud noise. Dann hat sie nicht mehr funktioniert. Then it stopped working. Ein Kollege hat sie zum Glück repariert. Luckily a colleague repaired it.
Am Nachmittag hatte Paul endlich Glück. In the afternoon Paul was finally lucky. Auf der Straße hat er zwanzig Euro gefunden. He found twenty euros in the street. Er hat sogar ein paar Blumen für seine Frau gekauft. He even bought a few flowers for his wife. Zum Schluss schreibt er, dass morgen alles besser wird. At the end he writes that tomorrow everything will be better.
