A weekend in the hills

Last autumn, Emma and Ben spent a weekend in the countryside. On Saturday morning, the sky was blue and it was sunny, so they decided to walk up a hill. They followed a small path through a forest. While they were walking, they saw a squirrel and some rabbits. From the top of the hill, the view was wonderful. They could see a lake, some fields and the mountains to the north.

But in the afternoon, it became cloudy and windy. Then a thunderstorm started, and the temperature went down to five degrees. They were wet and cold when they got back to the village.

The next day, there was fog on the lake, and they stayed inside. Ben thinks that spring is the best time of year for walking, but Emma prefers autumn. If the weather is good next year, they will come back.
