Studying offline
Taking a list with you, studying with no connection, and what happens when it comes back.
Taking a list with you
On a list's page, the ⋮ menu offers "Make available offline". The list is then downloaded onto this device. The same menu item removes it again.
Studying a list downloads it too: a list you have just worked on is already on the device, without your asking.
The download belongs to the device, not to the account: what you take with you on your phone is not taken with you on your computer.
An offline list stays for thirty days
A list you study is saved on the device by itself, and the countdown starts again every time you open Kardamone with a connection. So a saved list stays as long as you keep coming back.
If the device does not connect once in thirty days, the list can no longer be studied offline; it renews itself at the next connection. When the device runs out of room, the list studied longest ago is removed first.
Studying with no connection
With no connection, Kardamone shows a simplified page with the lists you have downloaded. The session runs as usual.
Your answers are sent automatically as soon as the connection comes back. The ⟳ at the top right shows where things stand; press it to send them straight away.
You can close the application: your answers stay on the device until they are sent.
The learning path needs a connection
The learning path is followed online. Offline, it offers only the day’s reviews and new words; grammar lessons, sentences, texts and moving on to the next level wait for the network to return. Without a connection, Kardamone is above all for reviewing and practising your lists.
Answers that did not count
Occasionally an answer given offline cannot be counted; the list below says which and why.
While that list is not empty, the ⟳ at the top right says so.
