Im März zog Lena von München nach Köln um. In March Lena moved from Munich to Cologne. Dort fand sie ein Zimmer in einer Wohngemeinschaft im ersten Stock. There she found a room in a flatshare on the first floor. Ihre Mitbewohner, die beide studieren, halfen ihr mit den Kartons. Her flatmates, who are both students, helped her with the boxes. Das Zimmer war klein, aber hell und gemütlich. The room was small, but bright and cosy.
Zuerst musste Lena das Zimmer einrichten. First Lena had to furnish the room. Sie kaufte einen alten Kleiderschrank und eine kleine Kommode. She bought an old wardrobe and a small chest of drawers. Auf den Couchtisch stellte sie eine Vase mit Blumen und zwei Kerzen. On the coffee table she put a vase of flowers and two candles. Leider war der Wasserhahn im Bad kaputt. Unfortunately the tap in the bathroom was broken. Lena ließ ihn nach einer Woche reparieren. Lena had it repaired after a week.
In der Wohnung macht jeder einen Teil der Hausarbeit. In the flat everyone does part of the housework. Lena putzt am Samstag das Bad, und Paul bringt den Müllbeutel zur Mülltonne. Lena cleans the bathroom on Saturday, and Paul takes the bin bag to the dustbin. Nach einem Monat fühlte sich Lena in Köln schon wie zu Hause. After a month Lena already felt at home in Cologne.
